A note from the Association President:

Hello Winona Woods!

As I announced at the Fall meeting, this will be my last term serving as the President of the Winona Woods Neighborhood Association. I'm very proud of the work we did as a community to establish our group, welcome new neighbors, promote our neighborhood, increase quality of life for our residents and inspire others to do the same in other parts of Town. I'm also thankful to have had the opportunity to have met and worked with so many of you who have helped me to understand what it is that makes our Winona Woods so special and have been the driver in making all of this work possible; thank you for making these last six years such a pleasure to serve.

With the support of the capable and experienced hands of many of our current board members, I am confident that this is the time to make way for the fresh ideas, new perspectives and the untapped vigor that we need to propel Winona Woods into the future. I encourage you to think about getting involved in this work by joining the Winona Woods Board. General Elections will occur at the Winter Meeting which will be scheduled for early February. Please watch this newsletter for specific details, but if you already think this might be you. Please reach out to us at: contact@winonawoods.com for all the details.

In addition, according to the International Society of Arboriculture street trees increase property values by …

House Numbers

A friendly reminder that Irondequoit Town Code stipulates that house numbers should be Arabic in format, FIVE INCHES in height and facing the the street of the home's mailing address if on a corner lot. Have a look and see if you are in compliance. It will certainly speed up any emergency response.
